Robin Beals

Teaching yoga became a passion for Robin in 2012. Robin attended both her 200 and 500 hour trainings at Pranava Yoga Center, and continues to study the 8 limbed path to yoga. She will always be grateful to her teachers for giving her the tools to share the practice of yoga. Robin loves music and time spent outside; rafting, hiking with her dogs, rock climbing, and riding her bike. “Practicing yoga brings a spark of joy and freedom to my life.”

Liz Kirby

Liz has been living in Canon City for 8 years which has become a true home town, a process accelerated by the welcoming yoga community she found here. She began studying and practicing yoga locally first with Bob Gassen. She attended a yoga nidra workshop he was teaching at River Lotus Studio, and started taking classes there as well with owners Robin and Justin. Liz took the River Lotus 200 hour teacher training in 2019, began teaching there, then also at First Choice Fitness Gym, and now Studio G. Practicing and teaching yoga has brought the benefits of deepening meditation and its related studies along with the increasing well-being of the physical practice. She finds yoga to be energizing mentally and physically, and also adaptable, transforming as we do, throughout this life.

Tenille Lenard

Tenille began practicing yoga regularly with friends in a park in Ely, Nevada in 2007. People who noticed them practicing started to join the unofficial "class" outdoors in the park. Tenille is beyond excited to be teaching again at Kula Yoga Studio G! When not practicing yoga, you might see Tenille out enjoying Canon City's trails with her family, rafting/surfing in the river in the summertime, or skiing in the winter. "I hope to see you at one of my classes soon"!

Johanna Namminga

"Yoga is the great healer of our bodies and minds. Yoga shows us our connection to our inner spirit and all that is within us. I strive to help others to find this connection and to engage in their own healing journey by engaging in a deeper awareness of self through the process. Yoga has been an integral part of my life and my own journey for the past 17 years after a car wreck that injured my neck and back and, more recently, after using yoga to recover from a sepsis infection where I had to learn to walk again. Yoga has helped me to reclaim my body and my sanity and I hope to share that in some small way in my teaching."

Karen Patrick

"Hello and welcome to Kula Yoga Studio G, my name is Karen and I look forward to meeting you. I grew up in the Canon City area, moved away and then returned to raise my family. Earning my RYT 200 certification with River Lotus Yoga in 2017 was one of the best things I could have done for myself. I encourage you to join us at Kula Yoga Studio G and explore what yoga can do for you. I’m Looking forward to meeting YOU! As our class grows, so will Kula Yoga Studio G. With love and respect, Karen".

Sherry Skye Stuart

“Yoga has given me clarity, strength, and flexibility, as well as healing from trauma. I believe yoga is perfect for every body, age, size and ability. Yoga is not a competitive sport nor is it an athletic competition. We need Gentle yoga and Yin yoga to allow ourselves to find stillness, to release tension and to practice Ahimsa (self-compassion.) Yoga means connection – mind, body and soul, and that’s what happens when you step onto your mat. You begin to connect with all of yourself, in a profound way. I firmly adhere to the Yoga Sutra that states “No effort is ever wasted.”
Sherry completed her 200-hour RYT training from Pranava Yoga in Colorado Springs. She is also a “Yoga for All” certified teacher who infuses body positivity into her yoga classes by using props, variations and modifications. In addition, Sherry is a certified Yin Yoga Level One teacher and a Rieki Level One practitioner. She has over 1000 yoga teaching hours and is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Ed Provider. Off the mat, Sherry is a writer, author, local historian, and an avid reader of all things enlightening. She loves libraries and museums, photo documenting and hiking to historic ruins, and relishes wide open mountain views. Her ultimate goal is to be practicing and teaching yoga at the age of one-hundred.
